How to Find your iPhone

Lost your iPhone?  Well now you can find it again!   For iPhone 4 and iPad users have installed the iOS 4.2 update,  Apple are now offering their Find my iPhone service for free. This is an absolute godsend for those who have misplaced their iPhones or left them accidentally at their local bar or supermarket!

Once it’s installed and configured you can remotely wipe your device or even send a message to it. This message will also be sent to your e-mail address to let you know it has been successfully delivered to your iPhone or iPad.

To configure:
1. Go to Settings, General and ensure Location Services are on.
2. In Settings, go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars and select Add Account
3. Choose Mobile Me
4. Enter your apple ID and password (this is typically your normal iTunes account)
5. Once your account has been verified, select Find my iPhone to On and tap Save

To find your iPhone:

Go to the Mobile Me portal at and login with your Apple ID and password. You will be able to find your iDevice from the map. Additionally you can display a message your device, play a sound or remotely wipe it.
