What’s new in the iPhone 5?

in iPhone 5,iPhone Versions

There is speculation that Apple will adhere to their normal release cycle of mid year for the release of the iPhone 5. Apple have been fairly consistent in release cycle with the 3G, 3GS and 4 all released a year apart.

So what do we expect to see in the iPhone 5? Here is a braindump of what we would love to see in the iPhone 5?!

  • We would love a faster processor – and why should we not?  It’s just got better and better anyway
  • Some type of connection to external storage or expansion with SD or flash cards. – we want to continue digitizing our lives by storing all our photos, videos and music electronically.
  • We want to switch between CDMA and GSM networks with ease, and we’d love to have 2 sim slots to have a work phone and a personal phone
  • The Camera is pretty awesome already, but Apple can you make it even better?!
  • Facetime over 3G.  Will it be here on the iPhone 5?
  • Give us a better battery – Yes, we can conserve our battery and make it last a couple of days, but we need to turn off everything that makes the iPhone cool
  • We would love some type of biometric ID.  Can we activate the iPhone by scanning our thumb print with the home button or scan our retinas with the camera?  I don’t know about you, but typing in my pass code each type is a pain.

So those are our thoughts on the iPhone 5.  It’s hard to top a device that is already close to perfect, but let’s wait to see the release of the iPhone 5.
