Production of the white iPhone 4 has begun with a launch date of late April sources close to the situation have said today. Apple has delayed the release of the iPhone 4 for at least 9 months citing production problems.

Historically Apple has had an annual release of the iPhone, although it is expected the release of the iPhone 5 would be delayed to much later in the year with the Apple Developer’s conference focused on a iOS 5 software launch instead of hardware this year.

This would make sense as some users would be pretty annoyed to purchase a new iPhone 4 when the iPhone 5 is just around the corner.

Phil Schiller, Apple senior vice-president of Marketing said in a Twitter post back in March that the white iPhone would be available for sale by spring. Although this seems to break Apple’s policy of being quite secretive around it’s release dates, it is aligned to Apple suggesting last September the white iPhone 4 would be available towards the end of April.

Now the question is what tweaks have been made to it and what would expect to see in an iPhone 4 in white?
